KareLink Response System

The KareLink platform provides the basic alerting functions for a nurse call system using either pull cord or pendant sensors with either wired or wireless technology. The alerts are monitored and recorded at a central station where control of resident activities is concentrated. The KareLink platform is a carefully designed and time tested system providing a robust foundation for our unique enhancements which offer extra functionality. Each module is the result of addressing in-field concerns of clients and providing value-added solutions improving overall resident care, staff performance and facility security. These added capabilities have helped clients maintain and improve their delivered resident care while reducing overall operating costs.

Self-Storage Solutions

KareLink utilizes more than 30 years of experience engineering low voltage electrical products in healthcare to develop industry leading solutions as a PTI licensed and certified low voltage electrical contractor. No self-storage solution is too big or small for our team to accomplish.

Resident movement & fall prevention

KareMotion enables staff to monitor resident movement within their rooms.  This is especially useful during the evening when motion may indicate resident problems or potential for falls.  This is also a perfect monitoring approach for memory care situations. Each incident is logged with time and location and reports can be generated. KareLights are the result of studies and practical engineering design to prevent residents’ falls.  It is known that elderly residents may exhibit forms of macular degeneration that prohibits visual acuity and degenerated vestibules within the ear that impact equilibrium. These cause unsteady gate, reduced balance and increased risk of falls. This risk is particularly high at night when slowed pupil dilation and temporary light blindness can cause disorientation.
KareLights resolves this problem by: Providing a visual frame of reference for residents to stand vertically when leaving bed. Providing a warm LED light array mounted on bathroom entries to provide guidance. Using red LED’s above the commode to promote spatial awareness and eliminate temporary blindness from white lights. Providing user-friendly and fail-safe on/off automation via the use of KareMotion.

Smoke Detection

Smoke detection and alarming throughout a care facility is a requirement. KareDetect provides that protection and is designed to overcome the problem of additional installation costs and eliminate the possibility of non-working detectors.  Alarms are centrally displayed at the KareLink monitoring unit and also transmitted over 2-way radio to insure instant awareness and rapid response. Wired systems are backed up by the KareLink system battery, while wireless systems have a 3+year battery life. All detectors are UL certified and meet stringent no-fail performance guidelines.

Facility access

Monitoring and alarming of designated entry points within a facility is provided by the KareAccess module. KareAccess continually monitors any door or window and automatically reports visually and audibly. Entry date and time is captured and reports can be prepared. When paired with a proximity card reader or keypad system, KareAccess is the perfect solution for memory care wings where resident elopement is a significant concern.

Security monitoring

KareSecure utilizes the benefits of KareAccess, KareMonitor and closed circuit television (CCTV) to provide an efficient, cost effective alternative to security systems that is integrated into the KareLink call system. KareSecure can be used as a stand-alone system or be added to existing systems to increase a facility’s security profile. KareSecure offers a complete security system offering visual awareness and lock control coupled with audible alerts for any undesired intrusion.

Vertical reference lighting

KareLights is an innovative component in fall prevention strategy. KareLights activate without cognitive interaction by the resident and assure adequate lighting while navigating to the bathroom - day or night. KareLights is also customizable; allowing, for example, separate bedrooms sharing a single bathroom.
